Day of Honour
Prime Minister Stephen Harper has declared May 9th 2014 to be the Day of Honour to commemorate Canadian soldiers and veterans who served our country in Afghanistan. The Tribute Breakfast was hosted by True Patriot Love and Canada Company. Stephen Harper, along with family members of fallen soldiers, Canadian athletes and celebrities, corporate sponsors, and the Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Robert Nicholson, where the invitees to the unique tribute. A white rose was placed on the setting of all the families of the fallen soldiers to honour the sacrifice of their loved one. A 10’x20’ mural by Canadian artist hung at the dinner showing the families Canadians support for their ultimate sacrifice.
