Right To Play Tribute Dinner 2015

Right To Play is a worldwide charitable organization dedicated to the international development and promotion of the benefits of sport and play among children in some of the most disadvantaged regions of the world. The 2015 tribute dinner hosted over 1,300 guests, including business leaders and Olympic athletes, who set out to raise funds for this valuable initiative while honouring Right To Play Athlete Ambassador Clara Hughes and Bell Canada President and CEO George Cope for their dedication to the organization.

Speakers included: Master of Ceremonies, Brian Williams, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Right To Play Athlete Ambassador Adam van Koeverden, Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri, Olympic medalist and Right To Play President and CEO Johann Olav Koss, Field Representative John Nsabimana, and honourees Clara Hughes and George Cope. Entertainment for the evening featured singer-songwriter Jessica Mitchell and a very successful live auction hosted by Olympic gold medalist Jon Montgomery.

The Right To Play colours highlighted the event through on-stage décor, custom table runners and the iconic red soccer balls – signed by Clara Hughes – which were displayed as centrepieces.

Through ticket sales, silent and live auction items, the evening raised over $2 million.
